The Full Walkthrough

Step 1

Sign up and nominate a player strength

Before draw day, register through our official sign-up form and nominate a playing strength. Every team has 6 positions: Men & High School Boys nominate a strength between 1 and 4, which qualifies them for positions 1–4; Ladies & Junior Boys nominate between 1 and 6, qualifying them for any position. A team is never split into groups — it's one squad of 6, and these rules simply decide who's eligible for which position. This is a best guess, not a formal rating; it exists purely to keep the draw balanced.

Step 2

Arrive and check in for the draw

On opening night, find your name at the check-in table. The order players are called up to spin is randomized too — there's no advantage to arriving first or last. When it's your turn, you'll step up to the club's spinning wheel — the same one used throughout the site.

Step 3

Spin for your team

The wheel only ever shows teams that still need a player at your specific strength — so the spin is genuinely random, but every team stays balanced. Wherever it lands, that's your team for the season.

Step 4

Meet your new teammates

Teams are drawn across the whole club, mixing strengths and player groups, so chances are you'll be teamed up with people you've never played alongside before. We can only support a fixed number of teams each season, so spots are limited. Reserve spots are drawn in too, keeping every team competitive for the full season.

Step 5

Find out your sponsor

Each team has a sponsor backing it for the season, adding a bit of friendly rivalry to every fixture. Somewhere along the way, expect the odd wild card, spot prize, or surprise challenge — the season's built to stay unpredictable.

Every Week

Once a week. Tuesday or Thursday.

Every team plays one fixture a week for the whole season — you'll know which night is yours once fixtures are out.

Every playing night

Stick around

A weekly poll helps the club plan catering, and there's a braai option on every playing evening if you'd rather cook your own. Either way, it's worth staying on after your match.
